When to Book Christmas Light Installation in the Central Valley

Quick answer: Book as early in the fall as you can. Installs run through the fall, our calendar fills every season, and earlier requests get the widest choice of install dates. For large commercial displays, we like to have the major decisions made by around September 1.
Every fall the same thing happens across the Central Valley. The first cool evening arrives, people start thinking about the holidays, and the calls come in all at once.
Every display we install is designed, installed and serviced by our own crews, so there are only so many install days in a season. Install dates go to the requests that come in first.
Why the Install Calendar Fills Up
Seasonal lighting has a short window. Everything has to be designed, installed and tested before the holidays, and the days around Thanksgiving are some of the busiest of the entire season.
Homes, businesses, hospitals and downtown districts all want their lights up in the same few weeks. Booking early is the simplest way to get the date you want instead of the date that is left.
What Happens After You Book
Step | What happens |
1. Request | Send a consultation request or call 800-791-3330. A team member follows up within one business day. |
2. Consultation | We talk through your property, goals and timing, by phone or on site. |
3. Proposal | You receive an itemized proposal built around your home or building. Approving it reserves your install date. |
4. Installation | Our crew installs the display with commercial-grade LED products and tests every connection. |
5. The season | If a section goes out, call us and a crew comes back to repair it. |
6. Takedown | After the holidays we take everything down, label it and store it at our facility for next year. |

What to Have Ready Before You Call
You do not need a finished plan. A few rough answers help us design faster:
Which parts of the property you want lit: roofline, trees, entry, columns, walkways
The colors you like, such as warm white, multicolor or red and green
Whether you want the same look every year or something new
The best phone number to reach you during the day
Businesses, HOAs and Cities Should Start Earlier
For a large new commercial Christmas lighting project, we like to have the major decisions made by around September 1. We keep a substantial inventory of commercial-grade lights, but specialty decor like large trees, oversized wreaths and dimensional pieces can take considerable lead time to source.
As the calendar moves toward November, product availability starts to shape the design more and more. Starting early keeps more options open.
We also recommend not making your event date the install deadline. A few days to a week of buffer between completion and activation leaves time to test the display and handle anything unexpected before the crowd arrives.

We carry certificates of insurance for commercial sites and can schedule installs after hours, around business operations. For a closer look at large projects, read the logistics behind large-scale holiday displays.
Is It Too Late to Book This Year?
Not necessarily. We take on projects later in the season. The tradeoff is fewer install dates to choose from, and for commercial projects, fewer specialty decor options.
For a late commercial project, the right answer is sometimes a strong first-year display from available inventory, with larger features planned for the following season.
Returning Customers: Tell Us Early About Changes
Because we store your decor at our facility, your display can be refreshed, expanded or redesigned each season. If you want to add trees, change colors or try a new look, let us know when you book so the new design is ready before install day.
