Lighting an Outdoor Wedding From Sunset Into Dark
Valley weddings often start in late-afternoon sun and finish in full dark, and the timing shifts a lot by season. A June ceremony can run past 8 pm before the sun sets, while after daylight saving time ends in early November the sky is dark before 5:30 pm. We plan the lighting around your planner's timeline so the reception area is ready when the daylight goes, not an hour later.
The layout ties the ceremony site, dinner area and dance floor together so guests move between them without dark gaps. We work with what the venue already has, such as mature trees, a barn face, pergolas and existing power, then fill in with poles and cable where needed. Cords are outdoor-rated and routed away from walkways, and the full system is tested before the first guest arrives.

The crews that run commercial holiday programs every season also handle corporate events, fundraisers, community celebrations and rodeos. That work involves lifts, power planning on shared circuits and installs that must be finished before a fixed start time. Our holiday client list includes cities, a healthcare system and a resort casino, and the same crews run our event projects.
Restaurants, wineries, barns, estates and parks each have different access and power. A park may have a single outlet across a wide lawn; a barn may have plenty of power but rafters too high for a ladder. The proposal is built around your site's access and power, and specialty RGB can carry a company color or a team theme without custom fixtures.

How much does wedding lighting cost in Central California?
Wedding lighting is custom-priced after an on-site evaluation. The venue, the size of the area to light, the styles you choose, any poles or lift work, and the setup and removal window all change the scope. A single bistro canopy over dinner is a very different job from lighting an entire estate.
How far ahead should we book wedding or event lighting?
Contact us as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. Fall events overlap with holiday lighting installation season, so October, November and December dates should be booked early to make sure a crew is available for both setup and removal.
Is the event lighting tested before guests arrive?
Yes. System testing before the event is part of the installation. The crew checks every circuit, timer and RGB scene during setup, so problems are found in daylight rather than after sunset, and the lighting is ready for your planner's timeline.
Will you coordinate with our wedding planner or venue?
Yes. Coordination with your planner or venue coordinator can be included in the proposal. That usually covers access times, where vehicles and lifts can go, which outlets are available, and when lighting needs to be on for the ceremony, dinner and photos.
Can wedding lighting stay up as a permanent venue feature?
Yes. Event lighting can become a permanent feature of a venue or private property. Tell us during planning if that is likely, so posts, cable and hardware are chosen for year-round use from the start instead of being swapped out later.

Yes. Along with weddings, we light corporate events, fundraisers, community celebrations, rodeos and private parties at restaurants, wineries, barns, estates and parks. The planning is the same: evaluate the site, plan power and access, install, test, and remove on schedule.

Yes. Specialty RGB and programmable lighting can be set to a color theme, a brand color or a sequence of scenes through the evening. Many couples pair warm-white bistro and tree lighting with a few RGB accents, which keeps skin tones natural in photos.
